Process methodology within Lund University
The Process unit works to coordinate and establish Lund University’s process-oriented approach and provides support to process owners and process managers. We use established methodology to facilitate and document.
It is mainly within our support activities that we work in a process-oriented way. Every process area has a process owner, who in most cases is also the head of division within the central administration.
Main process map
The most comprehensive description of the University's main processes, management processes and support processes are illustrated in a main process map.
Previously mapped processes
A number of processes, drawn up at a University-wide level, have already been mapped. See Processlist in LU Box, in Swedish (PDF 104 kb).
If you are interested in looking at the previously drawn up maps, please email Processkontoret [at] rektor [dot] lu [dot] se
The Process unit has also provided support with presenting the processes at a department level. The results of the processes, however, are owned by the departments themselves.
Benefits of using a process-oriented approach
Using a process-oriented approach contributes to a holistic understanding, common approach and streamlining and improvement.
