Price increase for parking
In machines and the app, as of 11 october 2018
As of 11 October 2018, the fees for parking at Lund University are increased. Please note that the price increase only applies to payments in pay and display ticket machines and the Parkster app.
University employees and students can continue to park at the same rate, but from now on they will need to purchase one-day parking permits at the Parking Office, at Sölvegatan 14 (Map, new window). Read more about parking permits.
Why the increase?
Lund University’s parking tariffs are to be coordinated with other parking tariffs in the vicinity to avoid spill-over effects, i.e. that some parking spaces are always filled first because they are the cheapest. The University’s fees for parking have not corresponded to the tariffs of the area, which has resulted in people who do not work at Lund University parking in places that are in fact intended for university employees and students. In order to make places available to staff and students at Lund University, the tariffs in the pay and display ticket machines, and in the Parkster app, are now raised to the same level as other parking rates in the vicinity.
Lund University offers both indoor and outdoor parking spaces. The parking spaces are divided into four zones: Budget, A, B and C. There are also parking spaces designated for drivers with disabilities.
