How to use the University’s agreements

The agreements are binding and must be followed. The only occasion on which it is acceptable to go beyond agreements is if all agreement suppliers within an agreement area have declared themselves unable to deliver the required product or service.

Making use of an existing agreement also, in most cases, benefits you compared to conducting the procurement yourself. It saves you time, and the economic conditions may be more favourable.

What to do if there is no agreement

If there is no agreement you must calculate the value of the contract to determine which procurement procedure you should use. It is the contract value that determines whether to make a direct award of contract, procurement below threshold with notice obligation or procurement over threshold with notice obligation.
