Vacancy announcements and other advertisements

Are you going to make a vacancy announcement? Lund University follows the government agreements for job vacancy announcements and media advice. To ensure compliance with current procurement contracts, you need to contact your local HR office when advertising vacancies and producing vacancy announcements. On this page, you will also find information which can be useful when producing other types of advertisements.

Vacancy announcements

Your HR office will help you produce advertisements that comply with the University’s set format for vacancy announcements. They can also provide guidance on suitable channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Euraxess, Researchgate, etc., as well as book the channels for vacancy announcements.

When advertising vacancies, your primary contact is to be your organisation’s HR office. You may thereafter turn to a communications officer for additional assistance in distributing the advertisement to suitable channels.

Templates

It should be clear to wider society which vacancy announcements originate from Lund University. It is therefore important that the advertisements have a uniform appearance and that they are always produced using our specially developed templates. Since no employee is to produce vacancy announcements independently, these templates are not available for download. HR has access to the templates and will help you to choose the correct template on the basis of your requirements.

For further information and help, please contact the human resources manager at your faculty/equivalent.

Designing and booking other advertisements

Printed ads

For all printed advertisements for which Lund University is the principal originator, you must base your design on the layout templates in Indesign, available for download from the Image and Media Bank.

Digital ads

Since digital advertisements can have vastly different formats and delivery, there are no specific templates for these. The overall rules concerning colour, typography and logos apply. A few examples to base your advertisement on or use for inspiration are shown below:

Placing advertisements

You can book your advertisement yourself in the daily and specialised press, or in other media. If you would like help with media strategy, or planning and purchasing advertising space, there is a government framework agreement to order from:

Help with producing advertisements (not vacancy announcements)

Regardless of whether you need help with developing a complete advertising concept or with designing a single advertisement, you can turn to one of the University’s procured communications agencies. Always ensure that the advertisements produced by external agencies follow the rules and instructions of the graphic profile. If it's printed ads, feel free to suggest the agency follow the layout templates.
