Converting research results into companies – do you know about LU Holding?

A hand holding a light bulb.

LU Holding focuses on supporting researchers/teaching staff and students who have ideas that can be transformed into companies. Using this approach, ideas and/or research results can contribute to creating growth and job opportunities in the region through the start-up of new companies.

The innovation organisation at the University includes a wholly-owned holding company, LU Holding. The work of holding companies simply involves taking new innovations to market. There are around ten holding companies at Sweden’s higher education institutions and LU Holding has been very successful for many years.

If you have an idea and want to know more: contact LU Innovation or the LU Holding CEO, Christine Widstrand.

The range of companies within LU Holding is fantastic – you can read more about it via the link below. There is everything from potato-based drinks to nanowire platforms.

We are always looking for new, exciting ideas!
